Dear friend,
Those who know me know that education has always been at the center of my life, both on a personal and professional level. I have decided to take a leading role in helping to ensure a high-quality education for all our children and formally filed to run for the Miami-Dade County School Board to represent District 5.
As School Board Member for District 5, I will put my extensive experience as a former Miami-Dade County Public Schools employee, as well as my experience in municipal government, to work for our students. I believe my experience as a former school district employee and PTSA board member make me uniquely qualified to understand the issues affecting our school district. That experience, in combination with my extensive background working with schools in the City of Doral as part of the Mayor’s office, makes me qualified to start the job on day one.
It is time to put our children first. It is time to fight for public education, and to pay our teachers a fair salary so that we can have the best and brightest educators in our classrooms. It is time to fight on behalf of our parents to give them the peace of mind that comes with knowing that their children attend the best schools in the country. But most importantly, it is time to fight for our kids and to provide them with a world-class education that will prepare them for the future. These are my beliefs. This is what I envision for our school district and our children, and this is what I will fight for.
